Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom to be Launched on April 29th – Specs, Details

The trend continues with Samsung as it is going to launch the Zoom version of its latest flagship Samsung Galaxy S5 on April 29th. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom or the Galaxy K will be launched at the event to be held in Singapore’s Red Dot Museum. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom was sighted in the month of March this year and also passed through the FCC (Federal Communication Commission).

The company may name the device as Galaxy K as the company’s invite reads the letter K in the image and says Kapture the moment. Well we might still be wrong but considering the invite it might be possible. All the specifications of the device has already been leaked few days back and it notes that the device will be coming with a 20.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 4.4-44mm lens with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Xenon Flash. This indeed is a big improvement in the camera point of view and it is expected to have a 4.8 inch touch screen Super AMOLED HD display.

The device will be powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual Core + 1.3 GHz Quad Core Exynos (5260) processor coupled with Mali-T624 GPU. The leaks also suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom will be having faux leather back with round edges and a thin body, since the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom was a bulky device that made harder to carry the device and made difficult for normal use also.

The more noticeable feature is the NFC and LTE connectivity that comes with the device and also with better speakers. Single LED flash system is used for this device for better captures and will be having a 2 MP camera on the rear for video calling. The device will be running on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat Operating System out of the box.

The availability and the pricing of the device are not yet known yet but will be known in the even on April 29th. So wait till then to get more details of the device.
