(Must Try) Sony launches Background Defocus App in Play Store – Features & Download Link

Sony’s Background Defocus app comes to the Google Play Store and is comes just before the release of the Xperia Z2. Recently we have seen Google updating its Google camera app with its Lens Blur and even this app uses a similar technology. This type feature is available in the HTC One M8 that captures two photos simultaneously and also in the Galaxy S5 Smart phone that takes multiple photos with its Selective Focus feature to determine position of an object in space.

This Background Defocus app will help the Sony Smart phone users to capture images in a professional way and make the object in the focus to stand out. This app simulates a shallow depth of the field by creating a blurred background in the image. The app captures two photos with different focus settings and that can be bought together to create a photo with one object in sharp focus with a blurred background.

Steps to use Background defocus app

  • Initially start the camera on your smart phone and select the Background defocus mode
  • Just Tap the object that you want to focus in the viewfinder
  • Just like taking a normal photo from camera, just click on the camera key to take a photo
  • Now you can change the blur level and the blur effect with the controls given on the screen
  • Now tap the save buttonTips for better photos
If you want to get a better image with this app, focus on the object at least 15 – 45 cm away and the back ground object is 5 meters away from the focus target. Holding the camera steadily to get good pictures or else use a stand if you have shaky hands. The image quality might differ with every device because of its camera specification.
So do you own a Sony device that runs on Android 4.2 and up? Just head to the Google Play Store and download this app that is sized at 7.1 MB to start enjoying your camera that will give you more professional kind of photos.

Heartbleed Bug Puts Millions Of Android Devices At Risk

You might have changed all your passwords in the days since you learned of the Heartbleed bug, but if you're one of millions of people using certain Android devices, you might still be vulnerable.

Numerous devices running older versions of Google’s Android operating system may be at risk of the high-profile bug, according to Marc Rogers, a security expert at the mobile security firm Lookout.
Rogers told The Huffington Post that people using Android version 4.1.1 should avoid sensitive transactions on their mobile devices because a hacker could exploit the Heartbleed bug to steal their data.
“The whole device is vulnerable, so you should be cautious about the kind of sites you use,” Rogers said in an interview. “I’d be cautious about doing banking on your phone.”

Last week, researchers revealed that a flaw in a popular method of securing online transactions allows hackers to steal passwords, credit card data or even Social Security numbers from two-thirds of websites. Experts have since warned the bug also affects home routers and other Internet-connected devices because many companies use the flawed OpenSSL software to secure their products.

There is no evidence yet that hackers have exploited the flaw to steal data from smartphones. But Rogers said a hacker could take advantage of the Heartbleed bug if people open a malicious website on a vulnerable phone while doing online banking on that device. A hacker could jump from the malicious website to the banking website to steal sensitive data like passwords, he said. Rogers added that such an attack was complex and the likelihood of it happening was relatively low.

But as many as 50 million Android devices worldwide may be vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug, according to the Guardian. A Google spokesperson said less than 10 percent of devices run on the vulnerable Android operating system. About 1.1 billion devices are expected to run on the Android operating system this year, according to Gartner, a research firm.

Lookout has released a free app that lets Android users see if they are running a vulnerable version of the software on their phone (Download it from this post).
Last week Google published a blog post that said the company had issued a patch to fix the Heartbleed bug in Android 4.1.1. But smartphone manufacturers and wireless carriers must also update the devices, and that takes time, Rogers said.

Rogers recommended that people using the old Android software update their operating system. If there are no updates available, they should contact their smartphone’s manufacturer to see if that device is now safe to use, he said.

The Heartbleed bug affects smartphones in other ways. Over the weekend, BlackBerry said it would update its messaging software after finding the service was vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug on Google's Android software and Apple's mobile operating system.

Rogers said the types of devices affected by the bug will grow in the coming weeks because the flawed encryption software was widely used. He said Internet-connected appliances and electronics like smart TVs may also be affected.
“I suspect we're going to be finding these things for some time to come,” Rogers said.

A Phone That Will Undo Your Preconceptions About Android, If You Let It

If there’s ever been a time to make a switch to Android, it’s probably right now. Three newly released Android handsets in the past month, and all of them have been more polished than any previous generation that I can remember: the Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony’s Xperia Z2 and the new HTC One. Each model can be considered a safe purchase, and each targets a slightly different type of user, but only HTC’s offering stands out as being truly unexpected.

In a number of ways, the new HTC One (aka the “M8″) represents the antithesis of the Android stereotype — even more so than its predecessor, last year’s HTC One (the M7). It doesn’t participate in the war over specs or bragging rights, it unashamedly emphasizes form over function, and it doesn’t even try to be affordable. It’s an iPhone from another universe and, in my estimation, it’s easily the best Android phone on the market today. Here’s why:

The HTC One (M8) in its perfectly perforated protective case.
Design
It’s hard to be creative and artistic when you’re pushed into a corner and forced to fight for your very existence. When I reviewed HTC’s underwhelming One Max a few months ago, I thought the company’s designers and engineers had sadly succumbed to the stress of their employer’s financial predicament. Now, holding the M8, I see that I was wrong. The phone is admittedly long, due to its deliberately over-sized speakers (essential for listening to Bob Marley while sitting in a deck chair), but this is compensated for by its narrowness and general feel.
The aluminum construction is satisfyingly dense, elegantly rounded and it makes you happy every time you pick it up. The same simply cannot be said of the blocky Xperia Z2 or the interminably plasticky Galaxy S5. It’s also true that HTC’s Android skin, known as Sense, is bolder, cleaner and friendlier than either Samsung’s or Sony’s software interfaces — Sense is almost iOS 7-like, not so much in the details, but in the general feeling that someone has paid close attention to the overall aesthetic, and again that’s something switchers might appreciate.
As my colleague Brad Molen noted in his full review, one drawback of the M8′s design is its slipperiness. This makes it essential to spend $50 extra on a “Dot View” plastic case, but frankly you should do this anyway. The colorful accessory adds personality as well as protection, and, by means of the perforations you can see the in the photo above, it cleverly let’s you check the time and basic notifications without you having to lift the flap open or expose any part of the display. You’ll still sense the cold metal lying under the plastic, even if you don’t always see it. (For what it’s worth, I’ve told HTC that I think $50 is too much for the case — it should be $30 at most.)

Camera
While the Sony and Samsung phones are very capable of taking serious, high-resolution photos, the M8 prioritises fun over fidelity. It has a secondary depth camera that is really only useful for one purpose: blurring backgrounds on portrait pictures. The effect isn’t always perfect if you examine it closely, because sometimes the edges of your foreground subject go blurry when you need them to stay sharp (and vice versa), but in general it works extremely well, especially considering that it takes two button presses to achieve.
It’s surprising just how many photos you take that can benefit from this sort of ‘depth of field’ effect. A number of my friends (who pretty much all use iPhones) have asked if they can use photos from the M8 as their profile picture on Facebook and dating sites, and none have been much concerned by the fact that the images only consist of four megapixels. That said, if I was looking for a smartphone that could replace the need to take a dedicated camera on vacation, I’d opt for the Xperia Z2; it’s larger sensor and 20-megapixel output almost rival a basic point-and-shoot, albeit without any zoom.

Battery life
Rapid battery drain used to be one the biggest gripes with Android phones, but with the introduction of the Qualcomm QCOM +0.88% Snapdragon 801 — the processor that powers the M8, Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2 — we can consider the problem all but solved. The Galaxy S5 is the worst of the bunch for efficiency, perhaps reflecting Samsung’s decision to go for a higher clock speed (a turn on on for stereotypical geeks) rather than better stamina, but it’s still a reliable workhorse. The Z2 arguably has the best battery life of the trio, by virtue of its physically larger battery, but this enlarged component contributes to the handsets unwieldiness in the hand, which is a significant sacrifice.
The HTC One M8, meanwhile, strikes a sensible balance between size, raw performance and longevity. A lot depends on how exactly you use your phone, but I regularly get to midday before my M8′s battery symbol shows any signs of depletion, and it’s often still in the green when I stop work at 6pm, so I’ve never felt afraid to play games or listen to Spotify while on the train. The thing just
refuses to die.

A big ‘but’
All these new Android phones are still too big. I can accept the fact that they’re expensive (there’s always the Nexus 5 or Moto G if you’re looking for something simpler and cheaper), and I can learn to live with the occasional bugs that invariably coexist with Android (the M8 has an annoying one where icons on the home screen occasionally disappear and take a few seconds to come back). But I don’t see how I could recommend any of these phones to someone who is used to the size of an iPhone or BlackBerry, or who simply doesn’t want to look like they’re carrying Gordon Gekko’s's filofax in their pocket.
Let’s just hope that HTC plans to shrink the M8 to create an M8 Mini, for folks who want something smaller, and that they don’t screw it up like they did with the last One Mini I wrote about a while back. If the company can create a smaller version of its flagship with the same features and build quality, just like Sony did with its ‘Compact’ version of last year’s Xperia Z1, then it’ll more than deserve a second chance at mainstream success.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom to be Launched on April 29th – Specs, Details

The trend continues with Samsung as it is going to launch the Zoom version of its latest flagship Samsung Galaxy S5 on April 29th. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom or the Galaxy K will be launched at the event to be held in Singapore’s Red Dot Museum. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom was sighted in the month of March this year and also passed through the FCC (Federal Communication Commission).

The company may name the device as Galaxy K as the company’s invite reads the letter K in the image and says Kapture the moment. Well we might still be wrong but considering the invite it might be possible. All the specifications of the device has already been leaked few days back and it notes that the device will be coming with a 20.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 4.4-44mm lens with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Xenon Flash. This indeed is a big improvement in the camera point of view and it is expected to have a 4.8 inch touch screen Super AMOLED HD display.

The device will be powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual Core + 1.3 GHz Quad Core Exynos (5260) processor coupled with Mali-T624 GPU. The leaks also suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom will be having faux leather back with round edges and a thin body, since the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom was a bulky device that made harder to carry the device and made difficult for normal use also.

The more noticeable feature is the NFC and LTE connectivity that comes with the device and also with better speakers. Single LED flash system is used for this device for better captures and will be having a 2 MP camera on the rear for video calling. The device will be running on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat Operating System out of the box.

The availability and the pricing of the device are not yet known yet but will be known in the even on April 29th. So wait till then to get more details of the device.

Check if your Android is Heartbleed Affected [Security Vulnerability Detector]

Calling yourself an active Internet user? you might not be one if you haven’t heard about the latest bug in the Internet security, called Heartbleed. We talked a lot about Heartbleed here, but if you aren’t sure what this is all about, do check that article to understand it better, and keep yourself safe from compromising your account data.

In short, Heartbleed is a bug in the OpenSSL security which was giving access to the hackers because there was an issue with the secret keys which get compromised and available to the hackers, and these secret keys are what would encrypt the traffic, including the names and passwords and all the personal content of the users.

The research team which found this major bug, did make a tool available for the users to check and understand whether a particular website is affected by the bug or not. But this issue isn’t limited to just the Internet, but is also seen on the devices which are using particular versions of the OpenSSL security for the authentication and security of the devices. There were some suggestions from the security firms that staying offline and not playing around with your online accounts would be a safe option for now, but you can’t stay away from your Android device for long, right? Here’s an app which would at least tell you if your phone has the security version which is affected by the Heartbleed bug.

Heartbleed Detector is an app available for the Android devices, to check if the version of OpenSSL in your device is affected by the Heartbleed bug. There is a certain behavior which if enabled, could lead to a problem to the security of the device and that too is checked by the app.

The app doesn’t do anything else than that, and it doesn’t check the individual apps for finding about the vulnerability, but you at least would get an idea whether the phone has a security version running which is at risk. And for now, there is no fix to this and if your device is running that version of OpenSSL, you need to ensure that the risky function is not turned on.

Samsung Galaxy S5 - Amazing Features

The latest flagship phone of Samsung, Galaxy S5 comes with amazing features. Though these features are not useful daily, but they are very useful in some situations.

Kids Mode
This is a great option in Galaxy S5. There is a dedicated kids mode in the Galaxy S5, and this isn’t just another feature which would do a limited stuff, but there is a lot included, and the kids gets to see a totally different interface which not just helps them get some interactive things to do, but at the same time, all your personal settings, apps and folders would go hidden and are kept safe.

Not just this, the kids can try to play around with the camera where there are options such as editing and placing effects while capturing the photo, and there are shortcuts to gallery, drawing and music but everything is limited. To enter the Kids Mode in the Samsung Galaxy S5, you need to set it up with the Pin unlock setting in the device.

How to check Heart Rate with Galaxy S5
The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with the heart rate sensor on the rear side, just below the camera. You can check your heart rate by using S Health. You need to open the S Health app and go to Heart Rate.

When it says “Ready Place your finger on the sensor.”, place the finger horizontally over the sensor on the back. It would start measuring and would record the heart rate for a minute, before the average is shown to you.

Control Samsung Gear Fit – Change Clock & Wallpaper
The Samsung Gear Fit, a fitness tracker which was launched by Samsung alongside the S5. It is compatible with this model only. And the compatibility and functioning is so good that you can instantly change the wallpaper and clock on the Gear Fit by just a touch of the option on your smartphone. The syncing and change in options happens instantly.

Using Download Booster
The Download booster is a new and brilliant feature in the Galaxy S5 which would help in downloading large files faster via Wi-Fi and mobile network simultaneously. Everything is done by the phone itself and the only thing you need to ensure is that both the Wi-Fi and Data network connectivity are turned on.

To activate the download booster, you need to go to Settings > Download booster and then drag the download booster switch to the right to turn it on. To do it in a faster way, there is a direct toggle in the quick settings in the notification panel.

How to use Emergency Mode
The emergency mode is something which does two things at the same time – enter the smartphone in a mode where the standby time is increased in an emergency situation so that the device is running for a longer time while it sends sound alarms, location information via messages and turns on the flash, reducing the other functions of the phone.

To activate the emergency mode, press and hold the power buttons until you see the window that is shown in the screenshot below. Tap on Emergency mode to activate it. Alternatively, you can even go to Settings > Safety assistance > Emergency mode and turn it on from there.

Activating Power Saving Mode
It is another brilliant option in S5. It comes with the options such as blocking background data, restricting performance, greyscale mode and there is an even better ultra power saving mode.  The greyscale mode is to set the device to display colors on the screen as grey tones. To activate the power saving mode on your Galaxy S5, you need to go to either the Settings app and select the option, or there is a shortcut to it in the quick settings section in the notification panel.

Using the Galaxy S5 as Smart Remote
There is a pretty excellent app provided by Samsung in the Galaxy S5, which would make the device work as a smart remote. To make your device a remote, you need to set it up by opening the Smart Remote application from the app list and then select the location, TV service provider and then it is just the touch of the buttons which would do the functioning like a standard remote. This feature was there on the LG G2 and G Pro 2 already, but still is quite good for the Samsung devices.

These are the brilliant features that are included in Samsung Galaxy S5, which makes the phone different from other phones.

How to Experience Galaxy Note 3 Features on any Android Phone

The App is available in Google Play Store named: Galaxy Note 3 Experience. This App is available for Free in Play Store and your Android device must be having Android 4.1 or latest OS to be able to run this app. And the device must have a 1920×1080 Resolution and 1.4 Ghz CPU to get a smooth and nice experience.

Go to Google Play Store and Install the Application: Galaxy Note 3 Experience
  • After installation when you launch the app for the first time you will be getting a Hands on Video which will give you a tour of what features and options are available when you own a Galaxy Note 3.
  • You can view the Key features and Accessory where the features available on Note 3 are displayed here like Air Command, Action Memo, S finder, Pen Window etc
  • After you have gone through the Video and the Key Features you can now experience the features available on Note 3 on your own android device.
  • You should select 3 areas of interest in the list available to let the app give specific features based on your requirement in the Design your Life Section.
Features which you will be able to try out:
  • Air Command
  • Action Memo
  • Scrapbook
  • Screen write
  • S Finder
  • Pen Window
  • New Multi Window
But keep in mind that there will be some lag in devices which do not meet the Resolution of 1920×1080 and 1.4 Ghz CPU while using the features of the App. There are rumors of Note 4 in the market so you are really interested in Note 3 and cannot wait any longer go for it or else you can wait for the Note 4 which is in the line and the rumor mills have started churning news about it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specifications Leaked, Too Early but Interesting Leaks

After great success of Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung is being ready for a big blast, Samsung Galaxy Note 4. For the fans of Note series, specifications and some features of Galaxy Note 4 are leaked.

The reports say that the company is not using the fingerprint scanner in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as we have seen in the Galaxy S5 but we will be seeing a new feature where the user needs to write on their screen to unlock their device. The reports did not reveal if this new device will be featuring the heart rate monitor that is presently coming out with the company’s flagship.
The Note 3 was brilliant, but the rumors of Galaxy Note 4 makes it the best easily

The screen size of the device is not mentioned but is likely to feature (2560 x 1140 p) 2K resolution which will be an improvement over the Full HD display. The reports also claim that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be featuring a 20.7 MP camera on the rear where the Galaxy S5 features just a 16 MP camera and the Note 3 has just a 13 MP sensor. This 20 MP camera is more likely to come out with optical image stabilization and will also be able to shoot 4K videos.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is also rumored to have a 64-bit processor that will make it the first Android smart phone to feature it after the Apple iPhone 5S. This processor will be coupled with a 4 GB RAM that is made on the 20nm process. We know that Samsung has unveiled its 4 GB RAM last year but couldn’t use it on any of its device till now so we can expect Note 4 to be equipped with this. The device is also rumored to run on the unnamed Android 4.5 that is probably going to be unveiled at Google I/O that will be held in the month of June 2014.

The other rumors include a 128 GB internal memory and a battery that will vary between 3600 – 3800 mAh. It will also support fast 4G and dual band Wi-Fi network and is also expected to be IP67 certified for water and dust resistance. The reports also revealed that this device will be costing less than $800 and we can expect this device to be unveiled later this year in the month of August or September. Stay tuned for more information and updates, we are pretty much excited to know more about this device and hope that the company unveils it soon.

Is Android Good Enough To Be A Laptop operating System?

With Windows 8, Microsoft wants one operating system that works well both on both desktop PCs and tablets. Google, meanwhile, has chosen Android as its tablet and smartphone interface while developing Chrome OS for laptops. So what happens when you put Android on a laptop with a touchscreen, like with the Lenovo Ideapad A10?

Not Quite Android
Many smartphone makers choose to put custom UI skins on Android. Usually, I’m not a fan of that. But on laptops, it’s a necessity. Android isn’t made for laptops, so to make it usable with this form factor, things need to change. Which is why Lenovo has introduced things like a custom dock which mimics the Windows Launch Superbar.
Android also needs a keyboard which steps away from the traditional Windows and Linux keyboards, with special buttons for common Android features like apps drawer, multi-tasking, etc.
But the downside of all this is that these are, in the end, cosmetic changes—the limit of what a company can do without moving beyond the core challenges Android faces as a laptop OS.

Apps, Apps, Apps
The big problem for Android is that its apps are not made for use in a laptop or desktop setting, they are made with the intent of being touched. While some of them translate decently to a keyboard+mouse interface, they still don’t match up to what you would get on Windows. And this is especially found wanting in the quality of the programs.
No office suite, for example, matches up to what you get in Microsoft Office on Windows or Mac. Kingsoft Office and others are decent, but the mobile versions are not as robust as desktop alternatives. Try working with tables in the word processor or try a spreadsheet file with macros and the limitations of mobile office suites come to the fore.
Then there’s the complete lack of support for professional applications. Adobe Photoshop Touch or any other image-editing app on Android doesn’t hold a candle to their desktop counterparts.
But perhaps the most damaging thing for Android is that its mobile browsers aren’t as good as Chrome or Firefox on desktop. By default, these mobile browsers are set to load pages in mobile mode. With a few small hacks, you can set it so that the browser always fetches the desktop version of any website, but what makes Chrome and Firefox so great on desktop are the many extensions and plug-ins that make them a flawless interface to the internet. Without those, we might as well be using Internet Explorer, and that’s the same kind of limitation you feel when you use Chrome Mobile or Firefox Mobile on Android.

Bad Multi-tasking, Great Multimedia
The other thing that irks the Android laptop user is the lack of true multi-tasking. While floating windows have bridged the gap to an extent when compared to what you’d get on Windows or Linux, it’s still not as good as the desktop operating systems. Where Android does score is in its vast Play Store and all the goodies that brings. You have access to the full Google Play Music library of music, the Play Movies library of films and TV shows, and the Play Books library of novels and magazines. As a multimedia device, Android outshines Windows quite easily.
There’s also the added benefit of the Play Store and its collection of great casual games.

What Android Needs To Be A Laptop OS
So the question is, what would Android need to do to make it a great laptop operating system? The biggest thing missing, in my opinion, is bringing great desktop apps to this OS through the same Play Store. Just like you install Chrome for smartphones, there should be an option to install Chrome Desktop for the same touchscreen devices—this app, however, would need to be made for keyboard usage.
Apart from the apps front, a focus on true multi-tasking would be great, but that seems more unlikely. Instead, hardware manufacturers giving more RAM in Android laptops makes more sense, as features like floating windows take the brunt of turning Android into a desktop interface.
Finally, much like there are homescreen replacements for smartphones, it would be great if there were third-party apps or downloadable elements that customised your Android to be used for laptops rather than tablets—i.e. turn the focus from touch-based input to keyboard+mouse input.
As things stand today, however, Android is a long way away from incorporating these features. As such, it’s not yet ready to be a laptop operating system, so your choices are still limited to Windows, Linux, Mac and Google’s other operating system, Chrome OS.

Google prepares to launch Android TV

Google has plans for another smart TV product, according to a report in The Verge.

Apparently this set top box will be less ambitious and easier to use than one of the company’s previous initiatives, Google TV. In the words of Google documents that The Verge said it has obtained, “Android TV is an entertainment interface, not a computing platform.”

The idea is to give users a simple interface for accessing entertainment content and lightweight apps. The most distinctive feature, it seems, is a recommendation system that will suggest content to users as soon as they turn the device on.

There are no details about a launch date, but the documents suggest that Google is currently recruiting developers to build apps for Android TV. These plans shouldn’t affect Google Chromecast, another of the company’s efforts to build a TV platform.

The news comes just a few days after Amazon launched its own device, the Fire TV.

Android KitKat use doubles but Jelly Bean rules

Kitkat i.e. Android 4.4 is the latest version of android next to Jelly Bean (4.3).
Google, Inc. said KitKat, the latest iteration of its Android OS, runs 5.3 percent of Android devices worldwide as of April 1 compared to 2.5 percent a month earlier.

This because South Korean smartphone and tablet makers Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics have begun rolling out KitKat on some of their most popular digital devices.

Jelly Bean, however, still lords it over all Android versions. Jelly Bean (versions 4.1.x , 4.2.x, and 4.3) is running on a total of 61.4 percent of all Android devices, Google said.

Older Gingerbread still runs 17.8 percent of Android devices while Ice Cream Sandwich keeps 14.3 percent going.

Very few Android devices are still running the earliest versions of the mobile OS. Some 1.1 percent are on Froyo, while just 0.1 percent are running the tablet-centric Honeycomb.

Google's data is based on smartphone and tablet visits to the Play Store app, which supports Android 2.2 and above. This means that devices running older versions are not included.

Google's new numbers come after Apple last week said that 85 percent of iPads, iPhones and iPod touch devices are running iOS 7, six months after the mobile OS made its debut. Twelve percent are still using iOS 6 while only 3 percent are running an older version of Cupertino's mobile OS.

Google claims Android is the world's most popular mobile OS, powering more than a billion phones and tablets.

Android Versions

Since last 8 years, there is much development in Android OS. 9 versions of android have been released yet and now everyone is waiting for next launch, that is Android 5.0.
Google names the Android versions in alphabetical manner. Here are previous versions of Android.
  • Android 1.5: Cupcake
  • Android 1.6: Donut
  • Android 2.0.1: Eclair
  • Android 2.2: Froyo
  • Android 2.3: Gingerbread
  • Android 3.0: Honeycomb
  • Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Android 4.1: Jelly Bean
  • Android 4.4: KitKat

Android 5.0 rumored to be named Lollipop or Lemon Cheesecake?

Time passes in a pace that you don’t realize the technology is moving ahead at par. Recently, Google had launched the Android 4.4 KitKat OS version, after it was all rumored that the next Android version is going to be called “Key Lime Pie”. The name won’t be used now, as Google follows the tradition of naming the Android versions in alphabetical order, thus it’s the letter “L” which would start the name for the next Android version.

We again aren’t sure if Google will be pushing out the new version as Android 5.0 or would stick to Android 4.5 as the major version, and the name as always is again a guessing game until Google comes up with it’s own surprising way of launching the OS version update. We have been hearing about the names “Lollipop” and “Lemon Cheesecake” for the next Android OS version, but there is nothing official as always from the makers of the OS.
